Brand Identity & Ul/UX Design for Delta Airlines: “Luxury Beyond the Clouds.”

Explore how I developed Delta’s new line of luxury airliners, designed for passengers looking for a comfortable and regal air travel experience. Noble Horizons was created to provide a seamless journey through the sky. Noble Horizons sets a new standard for luxury air travel by combining timeless sophistication with contemporary innovation while staying true to Delta’s current branding guidelines.

To develop a luxury sub-brand for Delta's new line of premium airliners, it is crucial to understand interactive design and brand architecture. This project focused on making design decisions informed by research and data, specifically concerning Delta Airlines as a company and targeting a specific luxury market segment. The objectives included introducing new products or services, creating a distinct brand identity, leveraging the parent brand’s strong reputation, diversifying the portfolio, and fostering a sense of exclusivity. This luxury sub-brand is closely related to the parent brand and mutually benefits from its recognition. While it aligns with Delta’s brand qualities, values, and messaging, it also possesses unique attributes of its own. The ultimate goal is to develop logos, marketing strategies, and clear objectives for the sub-brand.

OBJECTIVES

The logo mark for Noble Horizon draws inspiration from vintage airline pins and the aesthetic of the golden age of air travel. Took inspiration from Delta Airlines logo and then played around with angular shapes and triangles to create a mark that reflects the Art Deco style of Noble Horizons.

PROGRESS & INSPIRATION

The logo collection for Noble Horizons is essential for establishing the brand’s identity across different platforms. Having a variety of logo types readily available ensures that Noble Horizons can maintain a consistent and engaging presence, whether on a mobile screen, an airplane wrap, or a physical printed ticket. Each logo is designed to accommodate various color treatments while preserving the brand’s values and visual appeal. This approach helps reinforce the brand's image and leaves a lasting impression across different applications.

This project was a crucial step in introducing me to UI/UX design software, particularly Figma. It was a pleasure to learn and understand the software while conducting research into the details of Delta Airlines' mobile app design. It was an enjoyable challenge to create a brand that not only continued Delta Airlines' existing branding but also elevated it to appeal to a more luxurious clientele.
